Europa Universalis: Rome v1.2 Patch & Supreme Ruler 2020 preview

Started the Pyrrhus scenario with the 1.2 patch. Hard to tell the improvements so far but we’re sure they’re in there. Character portraits look marginally better.
Off to a better start this game. It’s possible to get both Liguria (before Massilia does) and Bononia via colonization in the north. And rather than rile Macedonia we grabbed Syracusae before Carthage did this time around. Hopefully leaving Epirus independent after the initial wars will keep Macedonia until we’re more ready for them. Last time they showed up with a 67-cohort legion that eventually wore us down.
We also got the preview of Supreme Ruler 2020 installed. Took a quick look yesterday. Very detailed, and nice looking satellite imagery. We’ll play some more and post about it soon.
